Foam cleaning

Velvet, silk, velour, viscose (rayon) among other fibres require very special methods of cleaning. The introduction of liquid can damage them; hence we use the foam method which can help us achieve a better and safer cleaning. The chemicals used for this cleaning are those that can easily turn to foam when applied. These chemicals are suitable for removing dirt, allergens and bacteria; they get extracted from the fabric shortly after application.

Dry cleaning

Safe cold water extraction cleaning for your wool rug

Rugs such as wool, linen and the mixed fibers throughout the years have been cleaned by either cold water extraction cleaning or dry cleaning. However, cold water extraction cleaning has been proven to be more effective in removing tough stains and spots.

Cold-water extraction cleaning method for rugs uses mostly water of not more than 30 degrees Celsius (as water with higher temperature can be damaging to the fibre) with some Wool-safe approved chemicals. This water and chemicals are usually introduced to the fibre of the rugs through injection before being vacuumed out. When the water and chemical is being vacuumed out, they carry along every dirt and bacteria, allergens that were present in it. This method of cleaning works perfectly for removing allergens and bacteria.

To know how best to take care of your rug, you need to understand that there are different problems associated with different types of rugs:

One of these problems is the presence of physical damage on the wool rug caused by moth (since wool attracts moth). With this, one has to check around for the presence of these damages to know if the rug requires cleaning or repairs.
